Leh: A one-day Capacity Building Programme on Information Technology was organised at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, in collaboration with the Department of Skill Education, CBSE, and the Department of School Education, UT Ladakh.
The programme was aimed at strengthening the technology component of skill education and enhancing the professional capacities of teachers in the rapidly evolving field of Information Technology. Around 24 IT lecturers and teachers from various schools of the region participated in the programme.
The programme was graced by the presence of Shri Satish Pahal, Joint Director, Department of Skill Education, CBSE, whose presence added significance to the capacity-building initiative. Shri Mirza Medhi, Vice Principal, DIET Leh, along with Smt. Tsering Yangdol, HOD, DIET Leh, was also present during the programme.
The sessions focused on strengthening teachers’ technological competencies and providing them with exposure to emerging developments in Information Technology. Participants actively engaged in the sessions, activities and discussions, exploring new concepts and exchanging their experiences.
The programme was conducted by the esteemed resource persons Ms. Jatinder Kour, PGT Computer Science, APS Jammu Cantt, and Ms. Sanjana Arora, PGT Computer Science, Blue Bells Model School, Gurugram, Haryana, who shared their expertise, practical insights and valuable experiences in the field of Information Technology.
The interactive sessions provided the participating teachers with an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and explore innovative approaches to technology-enabled teaching and learning.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Mirza Medhi, Vice Principal, DIET Leh, expressed his gratitude to the resource persons for sharing their valuable expertise, time and knowledge with the participants. He also appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the IT lecturers and teachers, highlighting their active engagement and willingness to explore new areas of knowledge.
