Leh April 15, 2026: The Apricot Blossom Festival 2026 concluded on a vibrant note at Goma Minjee, showcasing Kargil’s natural beauty and cultural richness while reinforcing its emergence as a premier spring tourism destination.
Organised by the Department of Tourism, the event attracted a large number of domestic and international tourists who experienced Ladakh’s blooming apricot orchards alongside curated activities such as village walks, heritage trails, and cycling tours.
Stalls featuring handloom, handicrafts, and apricot-based products provided a platform for local artisans, while storytelling sessions by local elders offered insights into the region’s cultural heritage.
Adventure and leisure activities, including nature walks, short treks, and riverside experiences, added to the appeal. Orchard picnics and blossom-viewing points remained key highlights, especially for photographers and nature lovers.
Officials, including Assistant Director Tourism Muhammad Ali Tak, interacted with visitors and stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of promoting Ladakh’s blossom season globally.
The Department of Tourism expressed gratitude to all stakeholders and felicitated contributors for ensuring the smooth conduct of the festival, which reflects Ladakh’s growing prominence on the tourism map.
