Kargil, July 08, 2026: A delegation of the All Ladakh Students’ Welfare Association (ALSWAC), Chandigarh, called on the Hon’ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, and submitted a memorandum highlighting key issues concerning the student community of Ladakh.
The delegation raised the issue of the delay in the declaration of the KSSRB Graduate Level Examination final results, stating that the prolonged delay has created uncertainty and anxiety among candidates awaiting the outcome. They also drew attention to the pending National Scholarship Portal (NSP) scholarships for the academic year 2025–26, stressing that many eligible students have yet to receive their scholarship amounts despite repeated follow-ups, causing financial hardship.
After giving a patient hearing to the concerns raised by the delegation, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon assured them that all possible assistance and support would be extended to resolve the issues. He stated that the concerns of students are genuine and deserve prompt attention, adding that he would take up the matter with the concerned authorities to facilitate an early declaration of the KSSRB results and expedite the release of the pending NSP scholarships.
The CEC reiterated the commitment of LAHDC Kargil towards safeguarding the educational interests and welfare of the students of Ladakh. He appreciated the delegation for bringing the issues to his notice through a constructive approach and assured them that every possible effort would be made to ensure that the students’ concerns are addressed at the earliest.
The ALSWAC delegation expressed gratitude to the Hon’ble CEC for his positive response, patient hearing, and assurance of timely intervention in the matter.
