Leh, February 28 : Hon’ble Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, convened a meeting to finalize the Subsidy Scheme for the financial year 2025-26.
The meeting was attended by Hon’ble Executive Councillor for RDD, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee; Hon’ble Executive Councillor for Horticulture, Ghulam Mehdi Ashoor; Hon’ble Executive Councillor for Agriculture, Stanzin Chosphel; DC/CEO, LAHDC Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve; CPO Leh, Tsewang Gyalson; CCF Leh, Dr. Zulfikar Ali; Director, NIELIT, Phuntsog Toldan; and Dy. Director, District Motor Garages, Dr. Tundup Namgail.
Discussions focused on reviewing the progress of subsidy components across multiple sectors, including Agriculture, Horticulture, Transport, Sports, Health, Education, Tourism, LREDA, Sheep and Animal Husbandry, Information, Handicrafts and Handloom, ITI, and Social Welfare.
CEC Tashi Gyalson emphasized the importance of timely execution and strict monitoring of all ongoing projects under LAHDC Leh’s subsidy scheme for FY 2025-26. He directed officials to ensure optimal utilization of funds, aiming for 100% expenditure to maximize benefits for the people of Leh district.
The meeting also reviewed the allocation of funds across different sectors, with detailed discussions on the percentage distribution for key flagship schemes.
Providing an update on the digital transformation of services, Director, NIELIT, Phuntsog Toldan, and Dy. Director, Motor Garages, Dr. Tundup Namgail, briefed the CEC on the progress of the Khorlo software application. The app integrates geo-fencing, fair rate calculation, and digital payment options. They assured that it is on track for launch by the end of March, alongside driver recruitment and related processes.
CEC Tashi Gyalson reiterated the council’s commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of subsidy schemes, benefiting farmers, entrepreneurs, and various stakeholders across the district.
