Leh, April 6: Restoration work on a water body in Stok village has commenced following official directions issued after a recent visit.
The project involves cleaning, de-silting and dredging to enhance water holding capacity, along with repair and strengthening of retaining walls. Officials, in coordination with local residents, are closely monitoring the progress.
Once completed, the restored water body is expected to meet the water requirements of the village, contributing to the broader goal of making Ladakh water-sufficient.
