Kargil, April 6: An orientation camp for Sub-Inspector and Constable aspirants commenced at Khree Sultan Cho Stadium, drawing participation from over 500 candidates on the first day.
The initiative was launched on the directions of DGP Ladakh Mukesh Singh to prepare aspirants for upcoming police recruitment.
Candidates were briefed on the recruitment process and trained for the Physical Endurance Test, which includes long-distance running, long jump, and push-ups for male candidates, and shot put for female candidates.
SSP Kargil Nitin Yadav encouraged aspirants to train diligently and assured full support from Ladakh Police. Additional SP Kacho Ishtyaq A A Khan also addressed participants, explaining the PET framework and extending best wishes.
Officials informed that similar camps will be organised in Zanskar, while separate sessions will be conducted for written examination preparation.
