Kargil, April 6: The Education Department Kargil organised a farewell-cum-welcome function at the Tourist Facilitation Centre Kargil to honour outgoing Director of School Education Ladakh Tashi Dolma and welcome incoming Director Imteeaz Kacho.
The event, jointly hosted by principals, zonal education officers, and the Chief Education Officer’s office, was attended by senior officials and stakeholders. Chief Education Officer Sonam Wangchuk extended a warm welcome and appreciated the presence of both dignitaries.
In her address, Tashi Dolma thanked the education fraternity for their cooperation and wished her successor success. Imteeaz Kacho expressed gratitude for the reception and assured continued efforts to strengthen the education system.
Both officers acknowledged the role of stakeholders, particularly Drawing and Disbursing Officers, in ensuring effective financial management, and reiterated their commitment to improving quality and inclusive education in the region.
