New Delhi: Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta said the India AI Summit reflects the country’s growing global leadership in responsible, ethical and human-centric artificial intelligence.
During his visit to the summit at Bharat Mandapam, he interacted with representatives from leading global and Indian technology firms and reviewed AI-driven solutions focused on governance, healthcare, education and digital inclusion.
He stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Digital India and AI for All has laid a strong foundation for technology-led governance and citizen empowerment.
Highlighting Ladakh’s potential, the Lt Governor said the Union Territory aims to harness AI for smart administration, predictive governance, disaster management, climate resilience and tourism management.
He also emphasised Ladakh’s suitability for sustainable data centres, citing its cold climate, clean energy prospects and low humidity, which reduce cooling requirements and enhance energy efficiency. He said Ladakh is working towards becoming the country’s first AI-enabled city, positioning itself as a future-ready model for high-altitude regions.
