Kargil, Feb 9:
A mass awareness programme on drug abuse and illicit trafficking was organised at Trespone by the Youth Educational Society in collaboration with the District De-Addiction Centre, religious organisations and Sankoo Police.
Speakers highlighted the social and health risks of drug abuse, legal consequences and the need for community vigilance. Officials from DDAC informed participants about free treatment and rehabilitation services.
Parents and students were urged to maintain communication and support systems to prevent substance abuse. The programme concluded with a call for collective action toward a drug-free Kargil.
