Zanskar, January 25, 2026: The 16th National Voters’ Day was observed at Zanskar Sub-division in a meaningful programme organised by the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO), Zanskar where the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Zanskar, Shri Omkar Ranjinder Gundage (IAS), attended as the Chief Guest. The programme began with the National Anthem.
The event was attended by heads of departments of the subdivision, Booth Level Officers BLO’s, voters, and students from various schools. A quiz competition was organised for students, in which HSS Phey emerged as the winner. Prizes were also given to all participating teams and first-time voters.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest highlighted the importance of voting and encouraged citizens to actively take part in the democratic process. The vote of thanks was delivered by AERO Zanskar, Shri Mohd Hassan, who also emphasised the role of BLOs.
The programme concluded with prize distribution by the Chief Guest, recognising quiz winners, participants, & BLO’s.
