Kargil, August 23, 2025: Hon’ble Shri Justice Mohammad Yousuf Wani Judge, High Court of J&K and Ladakh (Administrative Judge for District Kargil) to District Kargil visited District Kargil on 22nd of August 2025. The Hon’ble Justice was warmly received at Drass by Ms. Spalzes Angmo, Principal District & Sessions Judge Kargil; Shri Chemit Yurgyal, Secretary (DLSA), Kargil; Shri Sadiq Ali Wazir Munsiff Drass, Adv. Reyaz Ahmad, President, Bar Association Kargil along with members of the Bars; Shri. Vishal Atri SDM Drass: Shri Inayatullah Dy SP HQ Kargil and other Officials of the district administration.
In Kargil, the Hon’ble Justice was received by Shri. Rakesh Kumar Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Mr Shree Raam R. SSP Kargil, Mr Wangial Tsering Chief Judicial Magistrate Kargil and members of the Bar.
On the next day Hon’ble Justice visited the District Court Complex, where Hon’ble Justice was accorded Guard of Honor. After that Hon’ble Justice inspected the Courts of Principal District and Session Judge, Chief Judicial Magistrate and Special Judicial Mobile Magistrate. Hon’ble Justice also inspected the old criminal and civil files and Hon’ble Justice was also briefed upon all the pending cases in district Kargil. Later on Hon’ble Justice interacted with the staff members and enquired of their grievances.
Later on Hon’ble Justice visited the upcoming New Court Complex at Kurbathang, where Hon’ble Justice was briefed on the upcoming Judicial Complex by Mr. Sadiq Ali Executive Engineer PWD. Hon’ble Justice inspected and reviewed all the upcoming buildings in the complex and also congratulated the Engineers affiliated with this project and the Members of the Judicial Fraternity present on the occasion for the upcoming new court complex.
The Hon’ble Justice also had a brief meeting with the Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Executive Engineer PWD, Judicial Officers and Members of the Bars with regard to the timely completion of the Project and also discussed on the pending DPR’s pertaining to the Judicial Infrastructure.
On this Hon’ble Justice assured that this matter will be taken up with the hon’ble High Court of J&K and Ladakh and also with the concerned Administrative Secretaries of UT Ladakh for its immediate approval, so that there is no hindrance in the early completion of the Project.
Hon’ble Justice also had an interaction with the members of the Bar Kargil to address their issues and grievances.
