Kargil: Government Degree College (GDC) Kargil and its Sankoo Campus celebrated the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan with great enthusiasm, reinforcing the spirit of unity and patriotism among students and faculty.
At the Sankoo Campus, the day began with a patriotic quiz competition that saw active participation from students across departments. The quiz focused on India’s freedom struggle, national symbols, and historic milestones, offering an engaging and educational experience.
This was followed by a spirited Tiranga rally, where students and faculty marched within and around the campus, carrying the national flag and chanting patriotic slogans. The rally aimed to raise awareness about the significance of the Tiranga while fostering national pride. The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem in the campus courtyard, marking a solemn and proud close to the celebrations.
Meanwhile, at GDC Kargil’s main campus, the Culture and Seminar Committee organized a massive Tiranga rally led by Convener Hakima Banoo (AP English). The rally began from the New Academic Block, passing through various parts of the college before culminating at the flag-hoisting spot near the administrative block.
Over 300 students, along with faculty members, participated in the rally, waving tricolours and chanting patriotic slogans and songs that filled the air with fervour. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, followed by a vote of thanks from Shabir Hussain (AP Commerce), who expressed gratitude to all participants for making the event a grand success.
The twin celebrations at GDC Kargil showcased the institution’s commitment to promoting patriotic values and keeping alive the spirit of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
