Leh: The Union Territory of Ladakh has received fresh administrative and police appointments with the posting of one IAS and one IPS officer from the AGMUT cadre, following the successful completion of their Phase-II training.
As per the latest orders issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Omkar Rajendra Gundage, IAS (AGMUT: 2023) has been posted to Ladakh. Alongside him, Rishabh Shukla, IPS (AGMUT: 2023) has also been allotted to the UT, marking a step forward in bolstering the bureaucratic and law enforcement framework in the region.
These postings are part of a broader reshuffle of newly inducted officers across the AGMUT cadre, covering Union Territories and northeastern states such as Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Goa, Puducherry, and DNH&DD.
The MHA confirmed that the postings are effective immediately and will remain in place until further orders. The orders were issued with the approval of the Competent Authority by Rakesh Kumar Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India.
