Leh, June 21, 2025: Hon’ble Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson visited Sindhu Ghat today to review the ongoing preparations for the 29th Sindhu Darshan Festival.
The visit was aimed at assessing the venue and evaluating the arrangements being made for the event. The Hon’ble CEC inspected the infrastructure and facilities at Sindhu Ghat to ensure that all necessary measures are in place for the comfort and convenience of the visitors. He stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness, safety standards, and timely completion of all works.
During the visit, he interacted with the concerned officials and urged them to expedite any pending tasks.He instructed the departments to work in close coordination to ensure smooth conduct of the festival. Specific directions were given to the PHE Department to ensure adequate water supply and to the Municipal Committee for cleanliness. Other departments involved in the arrangements were also given directions accordingly.
The Hon’ble CEC further inspected the newly installed Buddha statue at the site and took stock of the final touches being given to the surrounding structure and landscaping. He stated that the inauguration of the Buddha statue will take place as per schedule during the festival.
H’CEC was accompanied by ADC, LAHDC Leh, Ghulam Mohd; Superintending Engineer PWD Circle Leh, Dorjey Gyatso; Executive Engineers from PHE, PDD; Assistant Director, Tourism; AEE Construction; Architect; Contractor; members of the Sindhu Darshan Committee and other concerned officials.
