Leh, June 21, 2025:
Hon’ble Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson was called on today by a delegation from the All Ladakh Hotel and Guest House Association (ALGHA), led by its President Rigzin Wangmo Lachic, along with executive and advisory committee members in the presence of PT Kunzang, BJP General Secretary and President ALTA.
During the meeting, the delegation extended heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble CEC for the continuous support extended to the hotels, guest house and other tourism sector in Ladakh. They particularly appreciated the effort put forth by H’CEC towards simplifying the registration process and his proactive support for promotion of tourism in the region.
The delegation also conveyed their appreciation and support to LAHDC Leh for its initiatives to strengthen and streamline tourism infrastructure, further emphasising the importance of sustained cooperation between the Hill Council and the hospitality sector for the overall growth of Ladakh’s tourism economy.
Hon’ble CEC Tashi Gyalson acknowledged their concerns and assured continued support from the Council in promoting responsible and sustainable tourism in the region. He also agreed to look into the financial challenges currently faced by the sector due to the recent dip in tourism.
