Kargil, June 14, 2025 – Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today inaugurated a super speciality medical camp organised by Baqriya Health Care and Research Centre in Collaboration with Parsas Health Group Srinagar.
Addressing on the occasion, CEC Dr Jaffar expressed happiness that BH&RC is doing exemplary services in Health care sector and he expressed gratitude to the team of Doctors from Paras Hospital on behalf of LAHDC Kargil for coming from Srinagar to Kargil and conducting this multi-speciality health camp.
He added that LAHDC is committed in improving Health care facilities in the district therefore many efforts are undergoing such as the procurement of MRI 3 Tesla machine is under process, besides efforts are being undertaken by the LAHDC to convince the Health Ministry, GOI to increase the Bed strength of District Hospital Kargil from 100 Bed to 200 beds.
The CEC also informed that the Ministry of Health GOI has been further requested to establish a 50 bed Mini AIIMS hospital in Kargil and also to grant a Nursing College for Kargil has also been discussed.
Dr Jaffar expressed hope that BH&RC and Paras Health Group will further conduct such Multi speciality Healthcare camps in future so that people of Kargil benefit from them at large.
CMO Dr Liaqat Ali Khan said that this camp will provide door step healthcare facilities to the people of Kargil and added that such sort of social services in Health care sector should continue in future as well.
Dr Oliyat Ali, Dr Nasreen Fatima, Chairman IKMT Sheikh Sadiq Rajaaye, Dr Nayeem Firdous and Arun Sharma from Paras Hospital also addressed the gathering.
Pertinently the multi-speciality camp will provide healthcare services under various departments including Cardiology, Pulmonology, Nephrology and Gastroenterology.
CMO Kargil Dr Liaqat Ali Khan, Chairman IKMT Sheikh Sadiq Rajaaye, Representative from Anjuman Saheb Zaman Aga Syed Abbas, President BHC&RC Dr Ahmad Ali, besides doctors and volunteers of BHC&RC, team of Doctors from Paras Hospital and hundreds of patients were present during the inaugural ceremony of the Medical Camp.
