Leh, May 28: The Hon’ble Deputy Chairman of LAHDC Leh, Mr. Tsering Angchuk, and the Secretary of Education, Ms. Bhanu Prabha (IAS), met today at the Government Polytechnic College Leh to discuss a proposal for a technical education program in Ladakh. They were joined by the Principal of the Polytechnic College, Mr. Sajjad Ahmad Khan; ITI Superintendent, Mr. Sonam Angchuk; Head of Department Civil Engineering course, Mr. Asrar Ahmad; and the Directors of the Headlight Foundation, Mr. Manish Bhaskar and Mr. Rajendra Prasad.
The Headlight Foundation, in collaboration with RRIZA Engineering Solution (a learning partner of AutoDesk), has proposed a program to train students in CAD/CAM/CAE technologies. The aim is to equip students in Ladakh with practical skills to help them secure better job opportunities or start their own businesses.
The program is expected to improve employment prospects for local youth, support workforce training goals under the Ladakh Skill Development Mission (LSDM), and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.
LAHDC Leh and the Education Department have assured the foundation of necessary infrastructure and logistical support.
