The 10-day training camp saw the enthusiastic participation of 49 children and youth from various regions of Ladakh. The initiative aimed to introduce the participants to professional snowboarding techniques while fostering confidence and skill development among the local youth.
The camp was inaugurated by Maj Gen Ravinder Kumar, SM, GOC Leh Sub Area, who emphasized the significance of such initiatives in promoting sports and encouraging youth participation in adventure activities. He also highlighted the role of Operation Sadbhavana in strengthening the bond between the Army and the people of Ladakh through various welfare programs.
Participants expressed gratitude to the Fire and Fury Corps for providing them with a unique opportunity to learn snowboarding under expert guidance. The training camp is expected to boost interest in winter sports among the youth and contribute to the promotion of adventure tourism in Ladakh.
