Leh: The five-day winter training sessions organized by the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, concluded successfully today. The training focused on “Research Methodology and Action Research” for teachers from different zones and a concurrent “English E-Content Workshop” for teachers from the Nyoma zone.
Dr. Konchok Paldan, Assistant Professor at the University of Ladakh, Kargil Campus, and Dr. Rigzin Chodon, founder of YeGe Publication, led the research training. Key topics such as quantitative and qualitative methods, data collection, questionnaire formation, and the use of Google Forms were covered. Participants were also assigned action research projects, which they presented on the final day.
Ms. Deldan Angmo, Principal of DIET Leh, praised the resource persons for their insights and instructed teachers to apply action research to address school-level challenges. She assured that more workshops would be conducted during the winter period and encouraged participants to submit research manuscripts for publication.
In the English E-Content Workshop, led by Lecturer Tsering Tundup, teachers learned about phonetics, pronunciation, and grammar. Principal Angmo urged teachers to implement these skills in their classrooms.
The event concluded with feedback sessions, felicitation of resource persons with mementos, and distribution of duty slips, followed by a group photo.
