Drass, September 29: Under the ‘Swachhata Hee Seva’ Campaign and as per the scheduled programme of the Worthy Deputy Commissioner, Drass, a door-to-door awareness campaign on the Solid Waste Management (SWM) Rules, 2026 was successfully conducted at Bhimbat Ningure Mohalla.
The awareness campaign was carried out by the staff of the Rural Development Department, Bhimbat Block, under the supervision of the Panchayat Inspector, Segregation Supervisor and MISO, Bhimbat Block.
During the campaign, the Supervisor of SRMC, Bhimbat Block, sensitized the residents about the provisions of the SWM Rules, 2026 and highlighted the importance of responsible waste disposal, segregation of waste and maintaining cleanliness in residential areas and public spaces.
To ensure wider understanding and effective community participation, the awareness messages were delivered in Urdu as well as the local language. The villagers were encouraged to actively adopt proper waste management practices and contribute towards maintaining a clean, healthy and environmentally sustainable surroundings.
The campaign also emphasized that active public participation is essential for achieving the objectives of ‘Swachhata Hee Seva’ and strengthening cleanliness and sanitation initiatives at the grassroots level.
