Leh, May 30, 2025: Hon’ble Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson was called upon by a delegation from the Burma Charasa Kuri Murgi and Siachen belt, including Goba Tsering Jorgais along with social and political representatives from various villages of Siachen belt.
The meeting took place in the presence of Hon’ble Councillors Tsering Sangdup and Rigzin Lundup.
The delegation requested the inclusion of the Diskit-to-Burma bridge under CRIF as a priority in the supplementary list.They informed the Hon’ble CEC that the bridge is crucial for connectivity in the region, as it links nearly 25 villages and remains an essential requirement for the local population.
Acknowledging the importance of the demand, the Hon’ble CEC assured the delegation that the single priority proposal of their bridge would be submitted as a supplementary entry under CRIF 2024–25 for due consideration and would be put before the UT Administration.
