Leh, May 30:
The Hon’ble Chairman/CEC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson of LAHDC, Leh, today felicitated Mr. Jigmet Lotus and Mr. Sonam Motup for their outstanding achievements in the 1st Road to World Historical Archery Championship 2025 held at Taman Rimba Kiara, Malaysia.
Mr. Jigmet Lotus secured the Runner-Up position in the Long Distance category, while Mr. Sonam Motup earned a proud 6th rank in the competition, representing Ladakh and India on an international platform with excellence and dedication.
The felicitation ceremony was held in the presence of Councillor Panamik, Sh.Tsering Sandup and Councillor Tiger, Sh.Rigzin Lhundup, who joined in acknowledging the remarkable efforts and commitment of the athletes.
The H’CEC lauded both archers for their dedication and for bringing pride to Ladakh. He noted that their achievements highlight the potential of Ladakhi people in traditional sports and serve as an inspiration for the younger generation to pursue and preserve Ladakh’s rich archery heritage.
