Leh, 28th May: The Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Headlight Foundation to establish language laboratories in schools across Ladakh and to implement a digital marketing initiative aimed at empowering the region’s youth.
The MoU was signed in a meeting chaired by the Hon’ble Deputy Chairman of LAHDC, Leh, Sh. Tsering Angchuk. The meeting was attended by Mrs. Deldan Angmo, Chief Education Officer Leh; Sh. Phuntsog Toldan, Director of NIELIT; Sh. Phunchok Dorjay, In-charge of DIET Leh; Mr. Manish Bhaskar and Mr. Rajendra Prasad, Directors of Headlight Foundation. Representatives from iDream Education and the Director of Physics Wallah Skills also participated virtually.
During the meeting, the Directors of Headlight Foundation presented their vision and goals. Their main objective is to reduce the educational gap between students in Ladakh and those in other parts of the country. The initiative focuses on improving students’ language skills and digital literacy, aiming to enhance their employability and prepare them for future job opportunities.
The discussion also covered practical aspects of setting up the language labs in Ladakh schools, including implementation challenges and potential solutions.
This collaboration marks an important step in strengthening the education infrastructure in Ladakh and opening up new opportunities for the region’s youth.
