Leh: In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Union Territory of Ladakh has transferred and posted two Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS) officers. The orders were issued under the Government Order No. 306-JK(GAD) of 2025 by the General Administration Department, Jammu & Kashmir.
Mr. Mohammad Ahsraf Bhat, JKAS, has been appointed as the Director of the Industries and Commerce Department, Ladakh. Additionally, Mr. Bhat will hold the additional charge of Regional Transport Officer (RTO) for Ladakh. He joined the administration on March 6, 2025, and had been awaiting posting.
Mr. Hidaitullah Mir, Junior JKAS, has been posted as the District Social Welfare Officer in Leh. He will also take on the additional responsibility of Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), Leh. Mr. Mir joined the administration on March 13, 2025, and had been awaiting posting as well.
Additionally, two JKAS officers, Mr. Mohd Nazir Sheikh and Mr. Inzar Ahmad Rana, who were serving in Ladakh, have been repatriated to the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. They are directed to report to the Government of Jammu & Kashmir and hand over their charges to the newly posted officers with a proper briefing of their duties and responsibilities.
The administrative reshuffle is part of ongoing efforts to streamline the governance and enhance the efficiency of the administration in Ladakh.
