Nubra, 9 September 2026: The Sand Volleyball Tournament organised by the Department of Youth Services & Sports , UT Ladakh, under National Sports Day 2026 and Youth Engagement Month, concluded today at Dunes, Hunder, Nubra. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation of young athletes from all seven districts of Ladakh.
DC Nubra, Sh. Mukul Beniwal, IAS, was the Chief Guest at the concluding ceremony. Addressing the participants, he congratulated the players for representing their respective districts. He encouraged them to work hard, remain disciplined and strive for excellence in their sporting fields.
The DC highlighted the importance of sports in promoting physical and mental fitness among youth and in keeping them engaged in healthy and constructive activities.
Kargil District emerged as the Overall Champion in both Men’s and Women’s Categories while Nubra secured the runner-up position in both categories.The Chief Guest distributed medals, certificates and cash prizes among the winners and runners up.
