Leh, April 24: Distribution ceremony of organic certificate under Large Area Certificate (LAC) and Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) was held at Cjoef Agriculture office Leh today on where PGS – India organic certificates were distributed among 12 organic registered villages of Leh Sub Division.
Programme was chaired by Smt Tashi Dolma Deputy Director Agriculture, Leh. Sh Shakeeel-ur-Rehman District Agriculture Officer (Extension), Leh, Subject ‘Matter Specialist (DL), Leh Manzoor Ahmad and Ms Tsering Dolkar Agriculture Extension Officer, Leh and Project executives from Sikkim State Organic Certifying Agency (SSOCA) attended the programme. Total of 50 farmers including Numbardar of the villages along with progressive farmers attended the distribution ceremony.
Farmers have been briefed about the Mission Organic Development Initiative of Ladakh (MODI-L) various process of certification and future prospects of organic products and Organic certificate.
