Leh : The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) launched Financial Literacy Week (FLW) 2026 for the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh at Hotel Vivanta, Jammu, with a focus on safe banking and KYC awareness.
Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo attended the UT-level inaugural programme along with RBI Jammu Regional Director Chandrashekhar Azad and senior officials from government departments, NABARD and banks.
Observed from February 9–13, this year’s theme is “KYC – Your First Step to Safe Banking.” RBI said the campaign highlights KYC basics, the Central KYC Registry and account discipline while warning people against frauds involving fake KYC calls and messages.
Awareness and outreach programmes will be conducted across J&K and Ladakh during the week and continued through the year.
