Jammu, Feb 9:
Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Kavinder Gupta inaugurated Udyamitsav and PRAGYAAN 2026 at IIT Jammu’s Jagti campus, describing innovation, entrepreneurship and scientific temper as key pillars of nation-building.
Addressing students and innovators, he said institutions like IITs serve as hubs for research and startup culture that shape India’s future. He noted that Udyamitsav reflects India’s journey from ideas to innovation and from startups to nation-building, with participation of nearly 1,000 young entrepreneurs from J&K and nearby regions.
Speaking on PRAGYAAN 2026, he said the platform promotes scientific curiosity among children and encourages questioning and experimentation. Referring to the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, he stressed that youth will drive India’s transformation into a global innovation leader.
The LG also proposed a Ladakh Administration–IIT Jammu MoU to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in border areas.
