Over 1,500 Aspirants Join LAHDC Leh’s Free Coaching Initiative as Hon’ble CEC Inaugurates Classes for LAHD-SSRB & LSSSSB Exams

Leh: The Hon’ble Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson inaugurated the LAHDC’s Free Coaching Classes for LAHD-SSRB and LSSSSB aspirants at Arya Nagarjuna Auditorium, CIBS Leh, in the presence of a massive gathering of over 1,500 students. He was accompanied by the Hon’ble Deputy Chairman, Shri Tsering Angchuk, Executive Councillors Shri Stanzin Chosphel and Shri Ghulam Mehdi, and senior district officials.
Also present at the inaugural ceremony were ADDC Leh, Shri Sonam Nurboo; CPO Leh, Shri Tsewang Gailson; DPO Leh, Shri Tsering Dorjay; CCF LAHDC Leh, Shri Zulfikar Ali; departmental officers; representatives from SANKALP including Nodal Officer Shri Devraj; and LEAF President among others.
Welcoming the gathering, DPO Leh, Shri Tsering Dorjey, briefed the students about the initiative, which has seen an overwhelming response with around 1,578 aspirants having applied. He highlighted that classes will be conducted across three centres in two shifts, ensuring quality learning with an improved teacher-student ratio.
Addressing the aspirants, Nodal Officer from SANKALP underlined the vision of the academy, noting how its past coaching efforts have already enabled many Ladakhi youth to successfully clear competitive exams and serve the region.
Sharing his personal journey of clearing competitive examinations, CPO Leh, Shri Tsewang Gailson, inspired the aspirants to pursue their goals with determination and resilience.
Additionally, ADDC Leh, Shri Sonam Nurboo, urged the students to make the most of the 45-day intensive coaching programme by combining hard work with effective time management.
Hon’ble Deputy Chairman, Shri Tsering Angchuk, congratulated the aspirants and assured that LAHDC Leh will continue its efforts to provide free coaching not only for SSRB and SSSB but also for higher-level competitive exams including UPSC.
In his keynote address, Hon’ble CEC Adv. Tashi Gyalson expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for making this large-scale initiative possible. He noted that the programme marks LAHDC’s biggest free coaching drive so far, reflecting the Council’s commitment to empowering Ladakhi youth. He stressed on the importance of dedication, curiosity, and discipline, reminding aspirants of the many opportunities opening up in Ladakh since the formation of the Union Territory. Citing Ladakh’s achievements in sports, academics, and cultural platforms, the H’CEC urged the students to aim high while upholding moral values and contributing positively to society.
Faculty members of the coaching programme were introduced and felicitated with traditional khataks.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by CCF LAHDC Leh, Shri Zulfikar Ali, who extended gratitude to the Hon’ble CEC and all officials for their collective efforts in making this initiative a reality.
As part of the programme, ID cards for all aspirants were distributed at the conclusion of the inaugural event.
