Leh: NHPC successfully concluded its flagship CSR initiative Project Shiksha Rath 7.0 in seven border villages of Ladakh along the Line of Control (LoC), reaffirming its commitment to nation-building and inclusive growth.
The closing ceremony was held at Government Higher Secondary School, Turtuk, Nubra, and was graced by NHPC Director (Personnel) Uttam Lal, Councillor Gulam Mehndi, Village Pradhan, besides villagers, SHG women and students.
As part of the programme, 30 women received certificates after completing a seven-day Master Training Workshop in tailoring and sewing, conducted with the support of Usha International (Silai School). NHPC provided sewing machines, resources and infrastructure under its CSR programme, while the Samaarambh Foundation implemented the project in coordination with local stakeholders.
Officials said the initiative not only imparted essential livelihood skills but also empowered local women, promoting self-reliance in border villages.
