Leh: Deputy Chairman of LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk, visited the ongoing Nubra Saria project site at Skampari for a progress review. He was accompanied by Councillor Panamik, Tsering Sandup, Executive Engineer R&B Leh, Lobzang Yontan, and concerned officials.
Officials at the site briefed the team on current status and construction quality. The visiting leaders expressed satisfaction with the pace and standard of work.
Started in 2024, the Nubra Saria is a joint initiative of LAHDC Leh and Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) Nubra. It aims to serve as a transit accommodation for patients, students, and visitors from Nubra who come to Leh for medical, educational, or personal reasons.
The building structure is nearly complete, and if work continues as planned, the facility is expected to be operational by October this year.
Tsering Angchuk reaffirmed LAHDC Leh’s commitment to public welfare and assured all support to make the facility functional soon. The project meets a long-pending demand of the Nubra community for safe and affordable accommodation in Leh.
