Kargil, July 11, 2025 – PM Shri Government Higher Secondary School, Pashkum successfully conducted a Parents-Teacher Meeting today, with the enthusiastic participation of 83 parents. The event served as a platform to strengthen collaboration between parents and the school, focusing on academic progress, development plans, and student well-being.
The Programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. Khadim Husain, Lecturer in Geography.
The School Principal Ishey Namgail addressed the gathering, sharing key updates on the academic performance of students, school’s strong showing in the recent CBSE examinations, upcoming infrastructure and academic development projects.
He expressed sincere appreciation to the School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) for their crucial support, particularly in arranging cooks and wardens during the winter residential remedial classes.
The Principal also conveyed optimism and hope for continued cooperation from the committee and parents in future initiatives.
He further informed parents about the school’s new initiative—the Student Mentorship Programme—under which each teacher will mentor 10 students, providing individualized guidance to support academic and personal growth.
Mr. Fayaz, Chairman of the SMDC, addressed the audience, thanking parents for their encouraging turnout and reaffirming the committee’s commitment to school development. He highlighted the SMDC’s role in coordinating with contractors and higher authorities to ensure the timely completion of the Multipurpose Hall, currently under construction with more than ₹2 crore funding under the Special Development Plan.
Other speakers included Mr. Master Sanaullah, Mr. Baquir, and Madam Haji Zahara Bee, who, along with Mr. Fayaz, offered positive feedback and appreciation for the school’s efforts in academic improvement and infrastructure development. Their participation reflected the growing trust and engagement between the school and community.
An open discussion session provided a space for parents to share suggestions and constructive feedback. They were also presented with their children’s test results and Academic Performance Indicators (APIs) to ensure full transparency.
The Programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Madam Vajjeda, who acknowledged the collective efforts of teachers, SMDC members, and parents in supporting the school’s mission to provide quality education and holistic development.
