Nyoma: In a thrilling finale held at Waste Naga Ground, Nyoma, Changthang Shan clinched the 19th Kailash Running Trophy Cricket Tournament 2025 by defeating Nyoma Senior by 13 runs. The match witnessed a massive turnout and high-voltage cricket, showcasing the rising talent of Changthang region.
Graced by the Commander of 254 Snow Leopard Brigade as Chief Guest, along with Hon’ble Councillor Shri Ishey Spalzang and CO of 13 Guards as Guests of Honour, the closing ceremony was a celebration of unity and youthful spirit.
What began nearly two decades ago as a small inter-village initiative has now become the largest cricketing event in Changthang. This year’s edition featured 25 teams from across the region, coordinated efficiently by Nyoma Youth Association.
The Kailash Trophy continues to be more than just a sports event, it is a symbol of hope, identity, and resilience for the youth of this high-altitude frontier. As Changthang Shan lifted the trophy, they carried with them the dreams and determination of an entire region.
