Kargil: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon conducted a comprehensive visit to District Hospital Kargil on Monday to assess ongoing healthcare services, inspect infrastructure, and address concerns raised by both patients and medical staff.
Accompanied by the Medical Superintendent, Resident Medical Officer (RMO), and other members of the medical team, Dr. Akhoon visited various wards of the hospital. He interacted directly with patients to understand their conditions and ensure that adequate care was being provided.
Special attention was given to a patient admitted on the night of Ashura (10th Muharram). The CEC personally reviewed the case and ensured that proper treatment protocols were being followed.
During the visit, Dr. Akhoon responded to several issues on the spot, reflecting his commitment to transparent and responsive governance. He also inspected the under-construction additional hospital block and directed the concerned departments to accelerate its completion to meet the increasing healthcare demands of the region.
Underscoring the importance of punctuality and professionalism, he urged hospital staff to maintain the highest standards in healthcare delivery. He also emphasized the need for immediate improvements in key operational areas, including the implementation of measures to control the rodent menace within the hospital premises.
The visit reaffirmed Dr. Akhoon’s proactive approach to public health and his dedication to improving healthcare infrastructure and services in Kargil.
