Leh : The sacred occasion of Muharram-ul-Haram was observed with deep religious devotion and peace across the Nubra region on Sunday, July 6.
Peaceful processions were held in several villages, including Diskit, Hunder, and Pratapur, drawing large participation from the local community. At Pratapur, the procession was led by Akhon Ali Shah; at Hunder, by Akhon Abdul Wahid; and at Diskit, by Sheikh Abass Ali.
The gatherings were marked by solemn prayers and remembrance, paying tribute to the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions.
The events were conducted smoothly and respectfully, with the wholehearted support and cooperation of the local administration and community members, ensuring a peaceful and dignified observance of the holy day.
