Leh, June 23: A delegation from the LBA Women’s Wing, led by its President Smt. Kunzes Dolma and Vice President Smt. Kunzang Dolma, called on the Hon’ble Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, to discuss pressing issues concerning the empowerment and livelihood of women in the region.
The delegation highlighted the urgent need for support to marginalized women and girls who are struggling with unemployment and lack of livelihood opportunities. They also shared several cases of women from diverse backgrounds who have approached the organisation seeking support.
In response, the Hon’ble CEC assured the delegation of his full support and instructed the concerned authorities to meet with the representatives at the earliest to explore a swift and practical resolution.
The delegation expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Hon’ble CEC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, for his continued support and encouragement towards the association. They acknowledged his proactive role in addressing their concerns and facilitating initiatives that strengthen the association’s efforts on the ground.
