Leh, June 24, 2025: His Holiness Kyabgön Chetsang Rinpoche inaugurated the newly established AYUM Resort in Sabu in the presence of the Hon’ble Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson. The ceremony was also attended by several Rinpoches, Tulkus, and members of the Ayu Kalon family.
Ayum Resort has been thoughtfully designed as a model of sustainable and locally inspired architecture.It is a blend of traditional and modern architectural styles, reflecting a balance between heritage and contemporary aesthetics.
Following the inauguration, His Holiness and the accompanying dignitaries visited the adjoining orchard. The orchard cultivates several varieties of apples and apricots using organic practices. It was shared that the fresh produce from the orchard is used directly in the resort’s kitchen, offering guests an authentic farm-to-table experience rooted in purity and freshness.
The Hon’ble CEC appreciated the initiative for its cleanliness, simplicity, and alignment with sustainable and mindful tourism rooted in local values.
His Holiness offered his blessings for the continued success of Ayum Resort and encouraged such initiatives that support spiritual harmony, environmental care, and community wellbeing.
