Leh: His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Konchok Stanzin Kunzang Thinlas Lundup Spalzangpo graciously inaugurated the Library and Museum at Shachukul, constructed at a cost of ₹2.13 crore under the District Capex Budget.
The ceremony was attended by Shri Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, Hon’ble Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, and Ven Konchok Tsephel, Hon’ble Sangha Councillor. Ven Konchok Tsephel stated that the Library and Museum will serve as a vital resource for monastic education, blending traditional knowledge with modern insights while preserving and showcasing traditional artifacts. He expressed gratitude to Xen R&B Leh K. Yountan, AEE K. Nazir, JE K. Konchok, JE T. Thinles, and the contractor for their efforts in ensuring timely completion.
He expressed his gratitude to His Holiness’s blessings and esteemed presence at the inauguration. The event was also graced by the monks of Shachukul Monastery, led by Dorjey Lopon.
