Leh: The concluding day of the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyaan i.e. “Samapan Samoroh” was held at Phobrang village with the active participation of over 80 people, including farmers and officials.
The programme was led by Dr. Phuntsog Tundup, Head of KVK Nyoma, along with officials from the departments of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Sheep Husbandry.
Shri Konchok Stanzin, Hon’ble Councillor Chushul constituency, LAHDC Leh graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Dr. Tundup briefed about the nationwide campaign, the role of KVK, and horticulture schemes beneficial to the region.
In addition, he also shared some interesting feedbacks received during the 15 days campaign. Each departmental officers presented their schemes, followed by a farmer interaction session where villagers raised concerns such as the need for training on vegetable cultivation in polyhouses, quality seeds, aphid control, compost preparation, and nutrient deficiencies in their soil.
Hon’ble Councillor Shri Stanzin urged farmers to take full advantage of government schemes like PM-KUSUM and requested continued departmental support for the betterment of the tribal farmers.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Tundup, appreciating the community’s support in making the final day a success.
