Leh: A team from People’s Action Group for Inclusion and Rights (PAGIR) met with the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ladakh (UoL), Prof. Saket Kushwaha, to discuss initiatives for sustainable paper and fabric recycling.
During the meeting, the University of Ladakh pledged its support by committing to procure eco-friendly products made from recycled materials. This collaboration aims to promote environmental sustainability and community empowerment, aligning with Ladakh’s broader vision of ecological conservation.
The discussion emphasized the importance of adopting green practices in institutional operations and fostering a culture of sustainability among students and faculty. The initiative also seeks to support local communities engaged in recycling and upcycling projects.
Prof. Kushwaha reaffirmed UoL’s commitment to sustainability, highlighting the university’s dedication to promoting eco-conscious initiatives that benefit both the environment and society.
