Kargil: Executive Councillor for Rural Development, ZDA, Er. Punchok Tashi chaired a meeting with Director of Horticulture, Ladakh, Tsewang Phunchok, to explore avenues for expanding horticulture activities in Zanskar.
Discussions focused on promoting the cultivation of medicinal plants native to Zanskar, establishing modern orchards and nurseries, and introducing solar crop dryers to improve productivity and sustainability.
EC Tashi expressed confidence in the sector’s potential and emphasized that these initiatives would contribute significantly to the overall development of Ladakh.
