Leh: Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson, chaired a comprehensive review meeting today at the Council Secretariat’s Conference Hall to assess the expenditure status under the District Capex Budget. Deputy Commissioner (DC)/CEO, LAHDC Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve, was also present during the session.
The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of allocated works across key departments, including PWD R&B, I&FC, Health, PHE, RD&PRD Leh, Education, KDA, Mechanical Engineering, Agriculture, and PDD. Officials presented detailed reports on expenditure liabilities, remaining balances, pending bills, and the status of funds that were either returned or surrendered.
CEC Tashi Gyalson urged all departments and executing agencies to expedite their efforts to ensure maximum fund utilization within the designated timeframe. He emphasized the importance of maintaining financial oversight to ensure optimal resource management and timely completion of developmental projects.
The meeting witnessed the participation of key officials, including the Chief Planning Officer; District Superintending Engineer PWD; ACD Leh; and Executive Engineers from PHE, PDD, Igoo Phey, Construction Division (R&B), and Irrigation & Flood Control (I&FC), along with the Assistant Executive Engineer, PHE.
