Leh: The 40-day-long Winter Tuition Program at Phobrang concluded with a grand closing ceremony attended by Konchok Stanzin, Councillor for Chushul Constituency, LAHDC Leh, as the Chief Guest. The event saw the presence of distinguished guests from the Indian Army, village representatives, parents, facilitators, students, and members of the local community.
Organized by Pangong Youth for Social & Environmental Care, Phobrang, and supported by Konchok Stanzin and Royal Enfield, the program provided students with a holistic learning experience. In addition to academic subjects, students participated in field trips to observe local wildlife, SEE Learning, activity-based education, Ice Hockey, and the traditional Kopong class. The Kopong class, led by Phuntsog Tsokar, witnessed remarkable performances by students, which were showcased during the closing event.
A strong emphasis was placed on Bhoti language education to preserve and promote the local linguistic heritage. Councillor Konchok Stanzin lauded the youth-led initiative, encouraging continued efforts in the future and assuring his support. He also acknowledged Royal Enfield’s contribution to education, particularly its support for activity-based training programs in Phobrang, as well as in Maan Pangong and Kargyam.
The Youth of Phobrang expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Phuntsog Tsokar for his dedication to the students and extended appreciation to Konchok Stanzin for his unwavering support.
This initiative marks a significant step toward empowering the youth of the region through education, cultural preservation, and skill development, paving the way for a brighter future for the students of Ladakh.
