Leh: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Leh chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of sanctioned projects under the Vibrant Village Programme (VVP) and discuss the implementation of upcoming projects.
The meeting commenced with deliberations on the current status of approved projects, focusing on their execution and timelines. Discussions also covered the process of planning and finalizing new projects under VVP to ensure effective development in the region.
During the meeting, the DC emphasized the importance of incorporating local architectural styles and locally available materials in the projects. He highlighted the significance of sustainable and region-specific construction practices to preserve the traditional essence of Ladakh while enhancing infrastructure. Additionally, the scope of work for upcoming projects was reviewed to align them with the developmental goals of the programme.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to ensuring timely execution and quality implementation of all VVP projects for the benefit of local communities.
