Kargil: Secretary Higher Education, School Education, Skill Development, UT Ladakh, Bhanu Prabha on Monday called on Chairman, Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon at Council Secretariat, Kargil.
The CEC Kargil welcomed the Secretary Higher Education with traditional khatak and extended his best wishes for assuming the charge as Secretary of Higher Education, School Education UT Ladakh.
Dr Akhoon assured that LAHDC Kargil remains committed to providing full support to strengthen the education system in the district.
The meeting also included a detailed discussion on issues and strategies to enhance the school education system in Kargil.
Later, a delegation of contractual staff working under the SAMAGRA scheme met with the CEC and Secretary of Higher Education and raised some issues including an increment in the honorarium of the contractual staff, maternity leave for staff, and other related issues.
The CEC assured that all necessary steps will be taken to address the issues in a phased manner.
