Delhi, May 25, 2026: The President and Vice President of the All Kargil Students Association Delhi (AKSAD) called upon the Hon’ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, during his visit to New Delhi.
During the meeting, the student representatives apprised the CEC of the various issues and concerns being faced by students from Kargil who are currently pursuing their studies in Delhi. CEC Dr. Akhoon listened attentively and assured them of all possible support and assistance for the welfare of Kargil students in Delhi.
The overall development of the Kargil region was also discussed during the meeting, with the CEC briefing the student representatives on the ongoing developmental initiatives and future plans being undertaken by LAHDC Kargil for the progress and prosperity of the region.
CEC Dr. Akhoon appreciated the efforts of student associations in representing and supporting the student community away from home, and encouraged the students to excel in their academic pursuits while remaining connected to their roots and becoming a source of pride for Kargil and its people.
