Kargil Honors Outgoing DC Shrikant Balasaheb Suse with Farewell Ceremony

Kargil, May 21, 2025 – The Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, on Wednesday organized a farewell party in honor of outgoing Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, after the successful completion of his two-year tenure in the Kargil district of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
The farewell party was held at Ashuna Resort, Kargil, and witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Principal District and Sessions Judge Kargil Spalzes Angmo, Executive Councilor Er Punchok Tashi, Executive Councilor Aga Syed Mujtaba, Senior Superintendent of Police Kargil Shree Ram R., Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Imteeaz Kacho, Director Education Ladakh, Director Tourism, SDM Zanskar, SDM Shakar-Chiktan, Councilors from different constituencies, representatives of all religious and political organizations, party presidents, and District Officers from various departments, among others.
Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, commended the tireless and dedicated services rendered by DC Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, throughout his career, particularly during his tenure in Kargil district.
He said it was a blessing to have such a personality with administrative authority. He appreciated DC Suse’s work and coordination with district officials and LAHDC, Kargil, for the development of the district. He extended his best wishes to DC Suse for his future endeavors.
The CEC cherished the valuable milestones that DC Shrikant left behind in Kargil. He also appreciated the way DC Suse worked with LAHDC, Kargil. The CEC Kargil said he is a man of “integrity, honesty, and humbleness.” He added that in his entire professional and political life, he has found Shrikant Balasaheb Suse to be one of the best IAS officers, serving society with utmost dedication and humility.
He said the Deputy Commissioner Kargil conducted LAHDC and Parliamentary elections with full transparency, without any bias or law and order issues—a legacy that will be followed by future officers.
The CEC said the strategies, plans, and decisions of DC Suse were always praiseworthy and oriented toward the welfare of the people. He added that DC Suse is a man of few words, with full dedication, honesty, and accountability.
The CEC Kargil appreciated the coordination between LAHDC Kargil and the District Administration, which was made possible only due to the support and intellectual capabilities of DC Suse.
Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, expressed his gratitude to LAHDC, Kargil, for organizing the memorable farewell party in his honor.
He extended his gratitude to the Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Executive Councilors, Councilors, and District Officers for their unwavering support and cooperation during his tenure. He also shared his valuable experiences from his service in Kargil.
As a token of love and appreciation, the CEC, ECs, Councilors, and all district officers of Kargil came together in a traditional manner to present traditional Khataks and special gifts to DC Srikant.
This gesture served as a symbol of gratitude for the exemplary service and dedication demonstrated by DC Srikant throughout his tenure in Kargil.
The farewell organized by LAHDC Kargil not only celebrated DC Srikant’s achievements but also showcased the unity and camaraderie among district officers and the wider community in bidding farewell to a respected and esteemed team leader.
Executive Councilor Er Phunchok Tashi, former CEC and Councilor Feroz Ahmed Khan, and Councilor Nasir Munshi also spoke on the occasion in honor of DC Kargil and extended their best wishes to DC Srikant for his future endeavors.
